My little Snuz is about to turn 5. For some reason my kids like to pick their birthday theme for the next year 11 months in advanced. The day after Snuz’s Frozen birthday party last year, he announced that he was going to have a Planes: Fire and Rescue birthday party. That announcement has given me almost a year to figure out how I would pull this theme off without being “toooooooo Disney” or cartoon like. I wanted to go for a more vintage feel for his birthday invitation. I spent an afternoon making his cardboard box airplane, threw him into an outfit and headed out for a quick shoot. All in all, I think from the start of the making of the plane to the finish of the photo shoot the whole production took 40 minutes.
