A Moment in Time. Snap, click and that moment is forever captured on film. A moment in life never to repeat itself again. A moment of a brief memory etched into our minds and solidified on the camera. This is what photography is to me. Capturing those little moments that so quickly escape us. Preserving them forever to look back on.
Welcome to the world of the Moffitt family! I love capturing the small moments of a family, but I also get even more excited when I know that I will get to shoot a little girl. As I have two little boys and a 3rd baby boy on the way, I have missed out of photographing hair-ribbons and sundress. My camera nearly leaps out of my hand when I know that I will be photographing a little girl. The photo above is my absolute favorite from this session! Such a pure and innocent moment.
I wanted to start the session with mom and dad having a few private moments (enter my camera) before we jumped in with the family stuff. I love to allow the parents in family sessions to get some shots with just the two of them. As we who are parents know, once the little ones come into our lives we have little to no pictures of us as couples anymore (I think my husband I have two if that). We had a good laugh as I got these two to reconnect in front of the camera. They said they felt like they were taking engagement photos again. After a couple minutes they feel right into sync and the camera loved what it saw!

Now enter the babies……well, not exactly babies are they. Such an amazingly beautiful family the Moffitt’s are.
A little silliness
I love, love, love mamma and son shots. Yes, I am partial to these mom and son shoots because of my own brood of boys.
And Daddies with their little girls……..well, they just kill me.
Can you imagine a more precious moment then this? I challenge you to try!
Little girls also love their mammas and need them. Unfortunately it takes a lot of us little girls until we have grown into big girls to realize just how much we need our mammas.
A moment in time
A rose by any other name…..
would not smell as sweet.
He was soooooooooo kind and gentle with his little sister. Such love!
Two super, duper, uber cuties!
Best friends for life!
Even the best photo session can end in tears, which I find so endearing to capture. Poor little thing was just beat at the end of our afternoon together. Even the giant sucker I brought couldn’t stop the tears from sneaking out. I know the feeling! Sometimes I’m so tired that I end up crying for no reason, even with a sucker in my hand. Just us girls.
Thanks to the Moffitt family for spending the afternoon with me and sharing the love of your family! It was wonderful meeting you. You have a beautiful family. You are blessed!
