“We are going to do what on our 10 year anniversary Wendy?” My husband asked with concern when I announced to him that I had booked a wedding on the night of our 10th wedding anniversary. As I explained to him my reasoning behind this choice, he became less concerned with the decision.
What better way to celebrate our own years of marriage than to be apart of another couple’s day of love!!! I don’t know about you, but when I attend a wedding I fall in love with love all over again. All my emotions come to the surface. I have a hard time keeping a dry eye behind the camera lens. After the end of every wedding I photograph, I can’t wait to get home to my own husband. Weddings remind me of the commitment I made to my husband, how much I love him and how blessed I am to be married to such an amazing man.
We would be spending the entire day and evening together (he would be shooting backup for me). When we watched the vows of the new couple, we would be reminded of our own vows. When they had their first dance, we would be taken back to ours. We would be immersed in a world of love and celebration.
Dana and Daren, we were honored to be apart of your wedding day and are excited to share August 3rd with you. May your lives in the next 10 years be as blessed as ours has been.
