Captain Jacq

Take two artist, mix in a spoon full of mischief, stir together in a broth of Pisces and what do you get? A photoshoot like no other! A photoshoot that had so many amazing shots that I could hardly decide which ones to show and which ones to keep on file.

Many of you know Jacqueline Collen-Tarrolly as one of today’s top selling fairy artists, others know her as the actress from Sinbad, while others as the Friesian breeding stallion owner of Toadstool Farm. For me, I know her as friend and confident.

Jacqueline is part elf, a quarter misfit and a whole load of fun.
Captain Jacq is a nickname that Jacqueline has come to be known by.  Her black truck which takes her all across the country as the traveling Renaissance Fairy artist has become her Black Pearl.
But where did all the rum go?
I had to have a little fun with the textures here.  I love the juxtoposition of the old, hard, textured against the soft, smooth beauty of Jacq.
Can you believe this beauty is in her 40’s and has had two children?  Dear friend, if I didn’t love you so much I’d have to hate you.
Jacq and I took this opportunity to shoot her in a somewhat different “light”.  So often she is asked to do photoshoots as the Elfin Renaissance woman.  This time I wanted her to do something different for her.  Something more as she appears in everyday life (ok so the shoes were a little sexy bonus).  This girls roots come from Colorado, so let’s show a little bit of that side of her.  You can take the girl out of Colorado, but you can’t take the……well you know.
She’s Got Legs and boy does she know how to use them.
I love this shoot of Jacqueline.  So soft, so feminine and then you have the tattoo.  Her hands are gracefully forcing your eye to the tattoo of her animal soulmate Pagan her horse.  Who says you can’t be soft and feminine with a tattoo!
A little more texture fun
There is a reason this girl was an international model.
Now that favorite of the series!  Let’s just call these Pisces and the Cross
The light in this photo was a complete “happy” accident.  The way it hits the cross was just a stunning moment.
My new favorite photo of all time!
Jacqueline just fell in love with the colors of this tree so of course we had to grab a few shots.  Sorry Jacq that I didn’t focus more on it, but you still trumpted the beauty for the shot.
Going for the old painted look.  The artist in me will always emerge.  Makes me miss my paint brushes.
A little naughty, but not to much.  If you look close, you can just make out the saint statue in the background.  What must he be thinking?????
Jacq you are a beautiful person and a beautiful friend. I hope that our four year olds really do get married someday so that we can be family. (Jacq’s daughter has asked my son to marry her. They have been friends since they were in the tummy together)
Stay tuned to the blog……..Captain Jacq and I have something up our sleeve for a second photoshoot.  Think stallions and uncovered!
